Artificial Intelligence is very much in the news of late. It is likely to drastically change commercial photography. You may have seen some of the headlines that suggest that photographers will become obsolete. No doubt there is some truth to that. AI may also infuse life into film photograohy. Just as film photographers can differentiate themselves from digital photographers, film photographers can differentiate themselves from AI much more easily. Film photographers can play up the differentiation. I suggest that film photographers provide a certificate of authenticity with their fine art photographs shot on film. I saw a protest sign carried by an actor (striking in sympathy with writers) that said "I refuse to perform from any AI script." That is wise because it is not just writers that are in jeopardy of losing their jobs, but actors as well.
